The EA team facilitate and manage the investments made by our members and funds along with providing support to all our members, partners and early stage companies.

They also manages EA GP Ltd the general partner of EA Fund 1 and EA Fund 2, and EA Nominee Ltd our custodian service that manages your legal holdings.


 Bill 1

Bill Murphy – Executive Director

Bill founded Enterprise Angels in 2008 and since that time the organisation has grown to over 150 investor members and 16 corporate members, 2 funds and an online investment platform (AngelEquity). Originally from the United States, Bill is a qualified accountant CPA (USA), CA (NZ) with many years of business and investment experience. Bill is now applying his and EA’s many years of investment experience to establishing impact investing in New Zealand.

Nina Sqr

Nina Le Lievre – Manager

Nina joined Enterprise Angels in 2013.  With a background in investment banking, she worked in the European Transactions Group at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in London for six years and in the Equity Capital Markets team at Craigs Investment Partners in Tauranga for three years.  

Nina is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Enterprise Angels operations and compliance, with a focus on ensuring the deals progress smoothly.

Julian So 500 Square 

Julian So - Waikato Business Consultant

Julian is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of CFO and senior executive experience. His sector experiences include SaaS, Aviation, Education, Manufacturing and Engineering Services. His broad commercial experience covers various business disciplines from general management, finance, IT management, pricing strategy, schedule management, contract negotiation, supplier and customer relationship management.

Julian is an active Angel Investor and he looks after the Waikato investors and investee company relationships.  


Jackson Jury - Investment Associate

Jackson joined the EA team in early 2016 and works closely with EA investee companies from start to finish, guiding them through the Screening Committee process, preparing for pitch evenings, securing investment and settlement.  Jackson has recently completed his Bachelor of Business Analysis and is currently on the final stretch of his Masters degree in Finance from the University of Waikato. Jackson is the first point of contact for companies looking to secure early stage funding.

 Kristen Joiner Sqr

Kristen Joiner - Director, Impact Investing

A social entrepreneur, Kristen Joiner recently jumped to the investor side of the fence. Kristen has an extensive background of starting and running ventures for social change ventures. She co-founded Scenarios USA, an NGO that combined critical thinking with filmmaking to pioneer a new approach to sex education – disrupting recognized best practice at the time and affecting hundreds of thousands of young people. Kristen also co-founded a charter middle school teaching sustainability on an urban farm, and a model climate change partnership for the public and private sector. In 2017, she stepped down as Executive Director with Advancing Girls Education in Africa, in Malawi/Washington D.C., to move with her family to New Zealand. Kristen’s work has been featured in the New York Times, The Today Show, Salon.com, NPR's Weekend America, Stanford Social Innovation Review, The Daily News, USA Today, the Sundance Channel, The Hollywood Reporter and others. 


Lara Greenway - Business Analyst

Lara has experience in IT Management and has more recently focussed on managing and assisting small to medium businesses in the area of effectiveness through business processes and systems.  Formerly of Auckland, Lara has recently settled in Tauranga with her family after a number of years in Taranaki.  Lara oversees the deal management process and compliance.  

 Kelly Taylor Square

Kelly Taylor - Administration

Kelly comes to Enterprise Angels with a strong background in not for profit administration having spent the bulk of her career to date in this sector.  Having spent 15 years in Auckland and the Horowhenua district Kelly has returned home to Tauranga with her family. Kelly assists with the day to day operations of EA with a particular focus on Membership, and Events.
