Mike Barton

With an interest in entrepreneurship and innovation, Mike brings a diligent, pragmatic, and results-driven approach. As an experienced finance professional with a track record of supporting growth businesses and strategic investment decisions, he thrives on identifying opportunities, driving improvement, and creating value for investors.

Originally from the UK, Mike holds a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) with the ICAEW. His career spans senior roles in professional services and financial services, in addition to the provision of fractional commercial and finance leadership support to businesses from pre-seed to growth stages.

Since moving to New Zealand, Mike has actively engaged in the local ecosystem through governance roles, advisory work, and hands-on leadership in high-growth businesses – currently holding the executive role of GM Funds at PMG (responsible for a growing portfolio of commercial property investment products, with over $600m of Funds Under Management). Mike’s diverse experience in financial management, strategic decision-making, and risk oversight within robust governance frameworks equips him to contribute meaningfully as a steward of investor capital.
