Engender Technologies was originally cofounded by University of Auckland Professor Cather Simpson, Auckland UniServices and Pacific Channel.
Ten savvy Enterprise Angels members invested in $250K plus into Engender starting in 2014, and received an excellent 5x return in November 2018.
Seven years after initial investment in Engender, a CRV-Ambreed has now acquired Engender and its unique cell sorting technology. That technology has potential to replace ‘flow cytometry’ in a number of applications – something that could be a significant innovation in the trillion-dollar global livestock market.
