Aisleworx’s goal is to deliver the world’s best family shopping experience by operating fun electronic shopping trolleys which entertain children inside via an internal screen, whilst also targeting other oncoming shoppers via advertising on large external screens Revenue is achieved by leasing carts and selling digital advertising space to major brands who want to reach shoppers.

The company was founded in 1999 by CEO, Doug Bartlett. After having to remove his own five year old son, “kicking and screaming”, from a supermarket trolley, it got him thinking there must be an easier way to keep children (and subsequently, everyone else) happy while doing the groceries.

Aisleworx now operates in several countries, with over 30 supermarket and department store chains including Walmart, Kroger, Safeway and Albertsons. It’s main program is the Funcart program.whic have generated over 30 million customer rides – and a lot of happier parents and children!
