David Thompson

David is a chartered accountant by training and worked as a business advisor across a range of industries during a 25 year career, before retiring to Tauranga in 2018. He has been based in the UK, US, Canada, Hong Kong and Bermuda, often with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, including advising on company and asset valuations. David has also specialised in legal and regulatory advice, leading global teams for accountancy firms PwC and KPMG.

David has a long history of Board positions in the charitable, sports and government sectors and is excited to bring this varied experience to EA. He was also EA DD master of the year for 2019.
