Katherine Sandford

Meet Katherine, an active angel investor, former Enterprise Angels (EA) board member and winner of both EA’s Investor Director of the Year Award, and the Angel Association’s coveted Puawaitanga Award in 2019.  Katherine is also active in the Angel Association’s Flight Programme which provides education, mentoring and networking for investor directors.

Prior to returning to NZ in 2014, Katherine held a number of executive leadership roles with Nasdaq-listed Trimble over more than 20 years, completing a number of international relocations in Europe and the United States.  Since then she has worked primarily with early stage NZ technology companies supporting their global growth aspirations.  Much of her work is centred on leadership team development and capital raising.  She chairs the board of investee company, UBCO, serves as a trustee on the Kairuri Community Trust in support of the geospatial sector and will join the KiwiNet board from mid-2022.

Katherine is passionate about the potential for NZ technology companies on the world stage and is leveraging her depth of international experience, and diverse global network in support of the growing ecosystem.
