Matt Flowerday

Matt Flowerday is the founder of GPS-it, a specialist mapping company that has now been in business for 20+ years. An early innovator in the Agtech space, Matt has spent several years travelling overseas looking at emerging technology and how it may be applied or, in some cases, how it could be done better! ) Currently unable to travel, Matt has focused his energy on launching “Landkind” – a mapping platform designed for Agriculture, a finalist in the most innovative Software solution category at the NZ Hi-Tech Awards this year.

Matt is a significant investor in the kiwifruit industry, owning several orchards and shareholdings in Zespri and Apata. He recently joined the board of Apata Group, a mid-sized post-harvest operator packing both Avocados and Kiwifruit with a focus on orchard development and packhouse automation via robotics.

Matt is a chartered member of the Institute of Directors, with strengths in strategy and technology.
