A secure, cloud-based platform that will provide you with all you need to manage your investments with Enterprise Angels.

Key Points to Note

  • We recommend you watch the 2min video walkthrough of the portal. The following functionalities are not yet operational, but will be rolled out over time:

  • You need to complete the Wholesale Investor Certification in order to have access to deal information. Click here for guidance on completing the certification.
  • The portal only includes active investments at this stage. We are hoping to include all exited companies in the future.
  • Each ‘round’ is displayed separately in the portal. Use the filters the display your total investment in one particular company (filter is highlighted below).
  • Please let us know if there are any of your investments not appearing. If an investment is not there, be assured that we have the correct data in the backend and it is only a ‘flow through’ problem to the portal. Please note however it can take up to a week for a new investment to show.
  • Prices are reported per the value as at the last closed round, except where the holding is also invested by an EA Fund in which case the price is governed by the EA GP Valuation policy here. Due to the dynamic nature of start-ups, valuations are complex, often subjective and may change rapidly.  No reliance should be placed upon the valuations provided in these reports and the reports must not be taken as financial advice.

 

Portal FAQ’s

How do I reset my password?

Click ‘Login’ .

Here you’ll see the link ‘forgot your password?’. Click the link and follow the prompts.

How do I change my details?

Changing your residential address, name, date of birth, or country of birth will require you to do a new bio verification report as this is information required for AML:

    1. Select the profile icon on top right – Investment accounts
    2. Select ‘edit’ on your personal account
    3. Select identity verification – proceed
    4. Select SMS or email – submit

What does the status "Hold" mean on my investment?

Hold is a status we activate when someone has indicated an interest in a deal either through Pitch event feedback or dialogue.
It can also indicate when an application for a deal has been submitted but we are still waiting on AML or compliance for the account set up.

Do I need software to access my investor portal?

Syndex is hosted in the cloud and is accessible on any device, anywhere you have an internet or wireless connection. You simply login and you can view your investments anytime, anywhere. You do not need to download or install any software or applications.

Can I access the investor portal from my phone?

The investor portal can be accessed from any device however at this stage it is not mobile friendly at this stage. We recommend logging in on a computer to get the best experience.

What security measures are taken to protect the Syndex platform?

Syndex is powered by Salesforce.com – the only Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) that fell under consideration as Syndex came to life.

Salesforce is a global company serving over 150,000 businesses. Ubiquitous amongst the financial institutions this is a PaaS offering that operates to a high level of scrutiny, security and compliance. As a service it relies on the trust of its users and is therefore impelled to drive reliability, accuracy and accountability. We too rely on trust from our customers, so choosing a PaaS offering that takes data security seriously was a fundamental prerequisite. Salesforce’s utilisation of advanced technology and processes to ensure the security of sensitive data and their extremely industrial approach to the management of their data facilities scattered across the globe is crucial to our operations.

Will exited companies show in my investor portal?

The Portal only includes active investments at this stage. We are hoping to include all exited companies in the future.

How long will it take for a new investment to show in in the portal?

There will be a slight delay between an investment settling and it appearing in your Portal – we do not anticipate this being any longer than one week.

I invest via multiple entities, can I have different emails logins for each one?

You can only have one email address associated with your Syndex account. All the entities you are associated will be visible in your account. Each trustee/director for an investing entity will have their own individual login and only see investments relevant to them.

Are admin fees shown in the investor portal?

Admin fees are not shown in the portal but are in your six-monthly investor reporting and available on request.

Is tax information shown in the investor portal?

There is tax information provided in the income tab, but please ensure you seek independent tax advice. If you are invested in a Fund via Enterprise Angels, tax summaries will be provided on an annual basis via email.

Can I export data from the investor portal?

Reports can be exported into Excel spreadsheets for analysis and sharing by using the export button on the bottom right of the page.
