Dispute Buddy is a legal tech startup that converts text and message-based evidence into lawyer-ready documentation. Founded by Jenny Rudd, who has personally navigated the challenges of extracting messages for legal proceedings, the company is built on a strong foundation of executive talent. Seth Bell, the CTO, is recognized as one of Australia’s top software engineers and was the first engineer at Rokt, which exited at a $4.5 billion valuation. Candice Tait, the CFO, led finance for Lyft’s IPO and held CFO roles in two successful exits—one at $140 million and another at $60 million. Jenny Rudd herself has built and sold a business and raised $310,000 from NZ, U.S. and Australian investors, including Dame Theresa Gattung.

The market opportunity for Dispute Buddy is significant, with estimates over $14 billion. Dispute Buddy has already signed a partnership with Australia’s largest divorce tech platform, achieved 25 sales from a single viral LinkedIn post, and won the AirWallex Global Growth Grant, outperforming 400 other startups. There is growing interest from the U.S. market, with multiple partnerships in progress.

The product addresses a deeply felt need: helping individuals quickly and effectively identify legal evidence in personal communications during disputes, a process that is often emotionally taxing and time-consuming.
